Met up with my friends Gelu Sherpa and Pemba Sherpa last night for dinner, who were the trip leaders when we trekked to Everest Base Camp in December lat year

Gelu gave me this Kata – a good luck blessing for the expedition.

Arrived Sat night in Kathmandu. Yesterday was equipment check – all good, but needed to get a few more items locally. Met rest of the group – seems like a fab group of people; good because we’re going to spend two months together!

Today, getting organized – group briefing meeting in the evening. Then one more day in KTM, and Wedn morn off with the flight to Lukla, and start of the trek to base camp!

Also met face to face with Ben Ayers, country manager for Nepal of dZi Foundation. Great meeting in person after all our prep work over the past few weeks.

So far, everything seems awesome!
